Masterclass Al-Andalus participants must bring works from the following categories FULLY PREPARED FOR PUBLIC PERFORMANCE UPON ARRIVAL:

VIOLINISTS:

*One Movement of a Major Concerto

*Two short works on a Spanish Theme
(Suggested list of repertoire, but other works not listed may be chosen):
Sarasate: Carmen Fantasy, or any of the many Spanish Dances or Spanish-themed pieces.
Falla: Suite Populaire Espagnole
Kreisler: Danse Española
Kreisler "La Gitana"
Kreisler: Any Spanish-themed work
Granados: Andaluza (Spanish Dance #5) 
Granados: Sonata for Violin and Piano
Granados:Three Preludes for Violin and Piano
Ole Bull: La Verbena de San Juan (Spanish Fantasy)
Waxman: Carmen Fantasy
Tarrega/Ricci: Recuerdos de la Alhambra

*Two contrasting movements of an unaccompanied Sonata or Partita of Bach
or an unaccompanied sonata of Ysaÿe

*One short "stylistic character piece"
(examples):
Ponce/Heifetz: Estrellita
Debussy: Beau Soir
Glazunov: Meditation
Amy Beach Three Pieces
Any piece of participant's choice

*In addition, participants may choose to bring any other repertoire (Sonatas or Concert pieces) of their choosing for the "mixed repertoire" masterclass.

GUITARISTS: 

One Etude, and once concert piece by either Albeniz or Granados, as well as a variety of other works of the participant's choosing, enough to perform in up to 6 masterclasses.
