Masterclass Al-Andalus


Applicants, please submit your name and email address. In the message box, please write your street address, the name of your past or current teachers, school, or any other information you wish to submit.
There is a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $50 USD, (check should be made out to "Al-Andalus Incorporated"). Past participants in the masterclass are exempt from this fee. If accepted, this fee will be applied toward tuition.
Applications will remain open until full.
Please send a recent recording of your playing that includes any two contrasting works of your choosing. Recording should be received no later than February 15th, 2020.

Please also submit a list of repertoire you would be prepared to perform during the masterclass.
FEES: $2,000 USD Tuition Fee covers:

* Six masterclasses 
* multiple lecture presentations
* admission price of tour of the Alhambra (Granada)
*admission price of tour of Mezquita Mosque/Cathedral (Cordoba)
*all other special cultural and musical events organized by the Director.
*ground transportation to all official activities

The tuition for Masterclass Al-Andalus is $2,000 USD.  Upon notice of acceptance into the masterclass, a deposit of $500 USD must be made no later than March 15th, 2020 and the complete balance of tuition must be paid in full no later than May 1st, 2020. 

SUBSTANTIAL scholarship has already been built into each tuition. Additionally, there is limited partial scholarship assistance provided through the generosity of Aceituno Olive Oil company of Alcala la Real. Those awards will be distributed at the discretion of the Director.

Cancellations before April 15th will receive full refund of deposit.

Cancellations between April 15th and May 1st will receive a half deposit refund.  After May 1st, no refund of deposit will be given.

Participants are responsible for their own airfares.  Due to the complexity of travel between certain cities in Spain, ground transportation for arrivals and departure days will only be provided to and from the Granada airport.  It is highly recommended to book flights into Granada (GRX).  Alternatively, if flying into another city (Malaga or Madrid), participants must make their own arrangements to be transported to Alcalá la Real upon arrival.

Recordings are due no later than February 15th, 2020

Deposits are due no later than March 15th, 2020.

Balance of Tuition is due no later than May 1st, 2020.
